WatchMemo is local first, requires no account, shows no advertising, and does not track users across apps.
On-device data
Titles, progress, ratings, notes, preferences, custom covers, and reminder settings stay on your device. You can export or restore a JSON backup or erase all app data in Settings.
Online catalog requests
When you use online search, terms are sent directly to TVmaze and Wikidata. Public title names or identifiers may also be sent to Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, and related Wikimedia services to provide localized titles, summaries, and reusable artwork. The developer operates no intermediary server and does not receive or retain these requests. Providers receive ordinary network information such as your IP address and process it under their own policies.
Content that is not sent
Watch progress, ratings, notes, Netflix CSV contents, and custom covers are not sent to catalog providers or the developer. Manual entry and local tracking work without online search.
Photos, notifications, and collection
The system photo picker grants access only to an image you select, and weekly reminders are scheduled locally by iOS. The developer does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, watch history, ratings, or notes through WatchMemo.
