Most features need no account. When you choose to sign in, GentleDay enables account services and automatically synchronizes relevant data.
Data stored on your device
Todos, habits, medications, focus sessions, shopping, countdowns, ideas, settings, and local backups stay on your device by default. While signed out, this content is not uploaded to GentleDay.
Optional account and automatic sync
After you create or sign in to an account, we process your email, optional nickname, phone number or avatar and automatically synchronize app content, version history, and related attachments at regular intervals for authentication, multi-device use, and recovery. Automatic sync stops after you sign out, while local content remains under your control.
Product-link recognition and external websites
When you submit a product link, it is sent to GentleDay's Supabase service, which visits the corresponding store page and extracts details such as product name, brand, price, image, and source. When page information is incomplete, selected page text and the link may be sent to DeepSeek to complete the recognition result. External websites also receive ordinary network information such as your IP address when the app accesses them directly.
Permissions and service providers
Notification, calendar, photo, file, and widget permissions are requested only for related features. Accounts, databases, private attachments, and server functions use Supabase infrastructure; intelligent product-link recognition may use DeepSeek; Apple platform services process system calendar, Photos, Files, and notifications.
Purchases and subscription verification
Apple processes Premium purchases through StoreKit. GentleDay's service processes the transaction identifier, product identifier, subscription status, and expiration needed to verify access and binds the subscription to your GentleDay account; we do not receive full payment-card details.
Use and sharing
Information is used to provide sync, maintain features, protect accounts, and respond to support requests. GentleDay does not sell personal information, show third-party ads, or track users across apps for advertising.
Retention, deletion, and rights
Local data remains until you delete content, clear data, or uninstall. Cloud data remains until you delete it or permanently delete the account. You can view, correct, export, or delete your content and revoke device permissions.
